Mohyliv-Podilskyi

The owner of the town, Moldavian hospodar Ieremia Movilă bestowed it as a dowry gift to his daughter, who married into the Potocki family of Polish nobility.

On the opposite side of the river lies the Moldovan town of Otaci, and the two municipalities are connected to each other by a bridge.

Southwestern Railways

Between 1871 and 1876 lines from Zhmerynka to Volochysk and from Berdychiv to Shepetivka were added, and between 1890 and 1897, the lines from Zhmerynka to Mohyliv-Podilskyi, Kozyatyn to Uman, Khrystynivka to Shpola and Berdychiv to Zhytomyr; 1897 was also the year when the Fastiv Railways were added to the SWR.


Jerzy Neyman

He graduated from the Kamianets-Podilskyi gubernial gymnasium for boys in 1909 under the name Yuri Cheslavovich Neyman.

José Antonio Saravia, José Antonio Sarabia, (Villanueva del Fresno, Spain, 1785 - Resident in Russia since about 1812 - General of the Russian Army 1843 - Kamianets-Podilskyi, now in Ukraine, 2 April 1871), was General Inspector of the Russian Military Academies under the Tsars Nikolai I and Alexander II.

Louis Ritman

Ritman was born in Kamianets-Podilskyi, Russia (now Ukraine), and moved with his family to Chicago around 1900.

Mkhitar Gosh

It was also used in Poland, by order of king Sigismund the Old, as the law under which the Armenians of Lviv and Kamianets-Podilskyi lived from 1519 until the region fell under Austrian rule in 1772.
