North Molton, village, parish and former manor in north Devon, England
Japanese cosmetics firm KAO acquired Molton Brown for £170m in 2005 as part of an international strategy to expand its portfolio of upmarket brands.
Initially commanding two batteries - 383 from Torrington and 384 from South Molton - the third battery (506) was formed in the regiment at Bircotes on 5 November 1940.
On 14 July Molton tried to enter Republican-held Santander but the insurgent cruiser Almirante Cervera captured her and an insurgent armed trawler took Molton to Bilbao, which by then had fallen to Franco's forces.
