By 2007 Farewell Flight caught the ear of Brad Moist at Mono Vs Stereo and signed on to record a full-length album.

In a video posted on the band's YouTube page, Matt Thiessen and Matt Hoopes of Mono Vs Stereo explained that they had briefly changed the band's name to Indian Summer, feeling that Farewell Flight sounded too much like the names of other bands.
