Giovanni Battista Ignoffo (born April 3, 1977 in Monreale) is an Italian professional football player who currently plays for Siracusa.
The first known account of the ceremony dates back to 1877 in Monreale in an article in the Giornale di Sicilia in an account about the Stuppagghiari, an early Mafia-type organisation.
He taught himself illustration, and in 1872, he helped illustrate a book on the Palatine Chapel of Palermo, Il Duomo di Monreale, written by professor Michele Amari, Monsignor Isidoro Carini, and Saverio Cavallaro.
Born Bronte, Sicily, he was ordained on 10 February 1839, aged 33, as Priest of Monreale, Italy.
Monreale has worked with directors Lucio Fulci, Joe D'Amato and Vittotio Sindoni on more than one occasion and has also worked with Stefano Vanzina ("Steno"), Bruno Bozzetto, Marco Ferreri, and Corrado Colombo.
The cardinal's body was flown to Monreale on 8 October and transferred to Palermo, where another funeral took place in that cathedral celebrated by Salvatore Cassisa, archbishop of Monreale, and Salvatore Pappalardo, archbishop of Palermo, and almost all the bishops of Sicily.
Over several years, starting with a small effort to provide a "Morsel of the Poor", in the parish house of Palermo's church of the Holy Martyrs, Cusmano proceeded to establish similar but larger institutions in Terre Rosse, Valguarnera, Monreale and Santa Caterina.
