Albert-Léon-Marie Le Nordez (Montebourg 1844- 1922) was a French bishop of Dijon, from 1898, who was at the centre of a controversy leading to the 1905 separation in France of the Catholic Church and the state.
Montebourg (France), a sister city of Walheim since 1960, which was carried over to the district after Kornelimünster and Walheim were merged in 1972.
Richard de Redvers died on 8 September 1107 and was buried in the Abbey of Montebourg in Normandy, of which he was deemed the founder.
