In 2007 Mothercare launched Gurgle, a pregnancy and parenting social networking website.
Its United Kingdom division, based in Northamptonshire and with a number of studios based in Mothercare stores, stopped trading on December 26, 2008, in preparation for the firm being placed into administration.
Organisations that have received the standard included Morrisons supermarkets, B&Q, Dfid, University of Central Lancashire, Thames Water, Trinity Mirror, BT Group, Kyocera, Barclays Capital, Hewlett Packard, University of Manchester, Citrica, Ricoh, Diageo, O2, Tesco, Mothercare, Moss Plastics, Manchester United, Serco, Linklaters, Bolton Wanderers Football Club, British Land and Motorola.
On the Ground Floor and Second Floor there is a wide variety of retail outlets, ranging from well-known high-street shops to chic boutiques and designer stores such as River Island, Next, Boots, Milano, Nokia, Zara, Primo Emporio, Charles Jourdan, IKKS, Sony, GNC, Mothercare, The Body Shop, McDonald's, Pizza Hut, Starbucks and Häagen-Dazs.
It includes a number of large warehouse-style stores, currently occupied by Toys "R" Us, Mothercare, Argos, Tesco and Staples among others.
