Like many other villages in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire it has been used for the filming of Midsomer Murders.
On 17 October 1929 he married Elizabeth Nance Llewellyn, daughter of Owen John Llewellyn of Moulsford, Berkshire (now Oxfordshire).
