Som has completed a multi-part documentary series called Great Battles, on the role of Indian soldiers in some of the greatest battles of the last century from Monte Cassino in the Second World War to the Siachen high altitude conflict.

The first track, "Il Testamento del Capitano", is a live performance of a traditional song-chorus by the Alpini, an elite mountain warfare unit of the Italian Army, that was booed by the spectators.
Since its reorganization in 1962, the battalion has participated in a variety of training experiences, including desert maneuvers at 29 Palms, California; amphibious training in Little Creek, Virginia; Mountain Warfare Training at Bridgeport, California; cold weather training in Norway, and numerous field exercises at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina.
The badge is authorized for wear on the uniform of Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Colorado and Vermont National Guard soldiers --these states have units that are aligned with the 86th Infantry Brigade Combat Team (Mountain)-- but is widely worn unofficially by other graduates of the Army Mountain Warfare School.
The second part, titled "The War in Italy (August 1916)," describes the city of Udine and the mountain warfare of the Isonzo front as well as visits to Verona, Venice, and Milan.
