After purchasing the area around modern Sedan, Ardennes from his brother-in-law Louis de Braquemont, in 1424, he expelled the monks of the Benedictine Abbey of Mouzon and began construction on the Château de Sedan.
Étienne Bauny (b. in 1564 at Mouzon, Ardennes, France; d. 3 December 1649, at Saint Pol de Léon) was a French Jesuit theologian.
He earned the highest military decoration for valor in combat—the Medal of Honor—for having distinguished himself at Mouzon, France.
In the run up to the convocation there were two earlier synods, in Verdun in November 947 and in Mouzon in the beginning of 948, both considering the same problem but unable to resolve it.
The collection included e.g. the allod villages of Bellevaux, Mogimont, Senseruth, and Assenois, the advocacy of the monastery of Saint-Hubert and Ardennes, and the land to the south of Bouillon, formerly the land of the abbey of Mouzon, now held as a fief of the Archbishop of Reims.
Mouzon went on to train some recognizable boxing figures, such as the former two time world champion Dwight Muhammad Qawi and Roy Jones Jr. title challenger Tony Thornton.
