Karaikudi Mani (born as Ganapathy Subramanyam on September 11, 1945 in Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India) is an Indian percussionist, primarily adept in the mridangam.
He had performed a few vocal concerts as well for which Maestros Umayalpuram K. Sivaraman and Guruvayur Dorai had accompanied on Mridangam.
Apart from academics, students participate in various cultural activities including: classical Indian dance (Bharatnatyam), Carnatic music, Mridangam, Violin, Tabla and Piano.
Prasad began learning Carnatic music from a very young age from his uncle M. Chandrasekaran and mridangam with Trichy Sri. Raghavan Iyer.
