Dime Store Prophets often opened for secular acts such as Joan Jett, Mudhoney, and Better Than Ezra.
He began working with Sam Phillips again in 1982, at Phillips Recording, and continued as an active session musician, playing guitar on Mudhoney's 1998 album Tomorrow Hit Today.
In support of Eleventeen, the band toured extensively in the United Kingdom with grunge band Mudhoney, who was supporting their new release, Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge (1991), and alternative rock band Hole, who was also supporting their debut, Pretty on the Inside (1991).

Rudzitis shared the home with Feast drummer Dan Peters (later of Mudhoney and Love Battery), renowned Seattle photographer Charles Peterson, artist Ed Fotheringham, occasionally Vanderpool and other scenesters.
During a Pearl Jam concert in Las Vegas, Nevada on November 30, 1993, Jeff Ament and Stone Gossard of Pearl Jam (both previously in Green River) reunited with Turner and Arm of Mudhoney to cover the song.
Over the years toured several times with bands such as Sparta, Mudhoney, Run Run Run, Division of Laura Lee, and very often with the Murder City Devils.
Seattle grunge rockers Mudhoney celebrated these roots on their 1988 EP Superfuzz Bigmuff, named for two of the band's favorite guitar effects pedals: the Univox Super-Fuzz and the Electro-Harmonix Big Muff, which helped to provide the band's signature "dirty" sound.
