Since 2006 a train service has been running once a week between Bhagat Ki Kothi near Jodhpur and Karachi, Pakistan which passes through Munabao on India side, Zero Point border station, Khokhrapar on Pakistan side.
This railway station was built in February 2006 when Mirpur Khas–Munabao metre gauge railway line converted into broad gauge.

Before the partition of India, the Sind Mail used to travel to Ahmedabad via the Hyderabad - Mirpur Khas - Khokhrapar - Munabao - Barmer - Luni - Jodhpur - Pali - Marwar - Palanpur - Ahmedabad route.
