Mutsu-Morita Station

Mutsu-Morita Station was opened on November 11, 1924 as a station on the Japanese Government Railways (JGR) in former Morita Village.

Mutsu, Aomori

The city is also the location for various facilities of the Japan Atomic Energy Agency, and was the home port for the nuclear powered research vessel Mutsu, until its decommissioning in 1997.


Kizukuri Station

Kizukuri Station was opened on October 21, 1924 as a station on the Mutsu Railway in former Kizukuri Town, and became a station on the Japanese Government Railways (JGR) when the Mutsu Railway was nationalized on June 1, 1927.

Mutsu Munemitsu

His father was active in the Sonnō jōi movement, and Mutsu Munemitsu joined forces with Sakamoto Ryōma and Itō Hirobumi in the movement to overthrow the Tokugawa shogunate.

These mountains previously formed the boundary between historical provinces of Mutsu (陸奥国) and Dewa (出羽国).

Shichigahama, Miyagi

During the Nara period in the 7th Century, the neighbouring city of Tagajō was the capital of the entire Mutsu country/province, which forms the majority of modern Tōhoku.
