Mütter is the fourth studio album released by Maria Doyle Kennedy on Mermaid Records in 2007.

Both Today FM and RTE had issues with playing the song; Today FM would not play it during daytime hours and, upon the single’s release, RTE did not immediately include it on its playlist.

Wer Bist Du?

The more famous German heavy metallists Rammstein would begin a similar theme four years later with the track Spieluhr on the album Mutter, Dalai Lama on Reise, Reise, continuing with Hilf Mir and the title track Rosenrot.
