Andries Maseko

During a 1974 NPSL match against Umlazi Citizens, Maseko scored 8 goals in 13-1 win at the Sinaba Stadium, Daveyton.

Eliakim Khumalo

Khumalo played for Moroka Swallows in the First Division where he helped win their only SA Soccer Championship in 1965 and later Kaizer Chiefs in NPSL being one of its first recruits in 1971 and also finishing as a runner up in that season.

Khumalo coached Chiefs six times and led them to 3 NPSL titles, 3 BP Top 8 titles, 2 Nedbank Cup titles and 2 Sales House Cup titles.

Ryder Mofokeng

He was captain for 11 years and won 4 NPSL titles and a quadruple in 1981 with Jingles Pereira, Marks Maponyane, Abednigo Ngcobo, Nelson Dladla and Vusi Lamola and more.


Dustin Swinehart

Swinehart played the amateur team CASL Elite in the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 2010; his team won their regional qualification group (which also featured NPSL teams FC Tulsa and Atlanta FC) before falling 4-2 to USL Second Division pro side Charleston Battery in the first round of tournament proper.

Francis Mbome

He, along with several key players led the team to their second successive Midwest NPSL title.

Galveston Pirate SC

Team owner Brendan Keyes relocated and rebranded the NPSL franchise for the 2013 season as Houston Hurricanes FC, but stated he will continue to use the Pirate brand in local leagues and tournaments.

Houston Hurricanes FC

Hurricanes FC was established in December 2012 as an NPSL relocated team, when the league announced that team owner Brendan Keyes was moving his Galveston franchise to Houston.

Jules Alex Nyom

2009 was his most successful season, being named the team captain for the NPSL Final Four Tournament (as Juan Fiz was injured), winning another Midwest Region title, earning a name on the Midwest All-Star team, and making many key saves in the Final Four Semi-Final, but eventually losing to Sonoma County Sol 4–1.

Madison 56ers

They lost to the Sacramento Knights 2-0 in the NPSL championship game on July 29, 2006, with Anthony Chimienti and Alfredo Renteria scoring in the final 19 minutes.

He played 1981 and part of 1982 with his hometown Edmonton Drillers.
