Northern kalaripayattu

From the 11th to 12th centuries, the right and duty to practice martial arts in the service of a ruler was most associated with specific subgroups of Thiyyas(called Chekavars), Nambiars and Nairs.

Ulikkal

Ulikkal area was under the dominance of Kalyatteshman (Kaliat Yejamana, master of Kalyat, also called Kalliat or Kaliat, the Kaliat Nambiar) and this area witnessed Christian migration (Kudiyettam) in the 1950s mainly from the southern Kerala districts of Kottayam and Ernakulam.


K T K Nambiar

K.T. Kunhikrishnan Nambiar (born 17 May 1951 in Peralam, died 12 August 2010) was an Indian chemist.

Koodali

Among the members of the family are KT Kunhikammaran Nambiar, a member of the Madras Legislative Council and KT Kunhiraman Nambiar, volunteer of Indian National Congress and participant in Salt Satyagraha in Malabar, and later president of Kerala's Pradesh Congress Committee, and member of the undivided Communist Party of India.
