The 20-hectare Delta is a seafront area that used to host the Athens Hippodrome, which was replaced by the Markopoulo Olympic Equestrian Centre for the Athens 2004 Olympics.
It opened on 28 January 2000, and is adjacent to the National Library of Greece, the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and the Academy of Athens.
The hagiography survives in a 12th-century manuscript, now located in the National Library of Greece at Athens.
