Necrophagist was a headlining act for The Summer Slaughter Tour in 2007, which featured a wide variety of other extreme metal bands including Decapitated, Arsis, The Faceless, Cephalic Carnage, As Blood Runs Black, and Cattle Decapitation.
Musically, he is mostly influenced by drummers Bobby Jarzombek, Vinnie Paul and Phil Collins and by bands like Necrophagist, Spastic Ink, Bottled Science and Megadeth defining his style as mixture between Thrash Metal, Progressive Metal, Death Metal and Progressive Rock.
In the meantime he has also created a fusionmetal project with Tommy Talamanca and Trevor from Sadist and Romain Goulon from Necrophagist, Nufutic.
Despite that this event is managed by only one team of 3 people and without any greater financial sponsoring it has had and is having bands like Diamond Head Hirax, Wolf, Pagan Altar, Eluveitie, Pungent Stench, Primordial, The Devil's Blood, Bulldozer, Necrophagist, Blitzkrieg, Desaster, Ruffians and many international performer mainly from the Heavy Metal genre from all over Europe and USA.
On June 24, 2009, Jonas Bryssling confirmed on Spawn of Possession's message board that Matthew Chalk (ex-Psycroptic, Mephistopheles) and Christian Muenzner (Obscura, ex-Necrophagist) have joined the band.
