"Bamf", in the Marvel Universe, is an onomatopoeia relating to the superhero Nightcrawler and the resulting sound he makes when he teleports.

In Uncanny X-Men #153, Kitty Pryde tells a fairy tale to six-year-old Illyana Rasputin, which includes a race of creatures called "Bamfs", described as small versions of Nightcrawler even wearing a costume identical to Nightcrawler's.
After a fight in which Rachel Summers ferociously unleashed the full power of the Phoenix Force on Alfie in his Galactus form and brought him to his knees, the team was sent back to their native reality, Earth-616, when Nightcrawler pushed "Cancel" on the remote control of Alfie's television, which nullified everything that had occurred.
During the course of the adventure the player will need to make decisions (such as choosing whether to save Nightcrawler or Jean Grey) or complete certain tasks (like stopping a group of mutated soldiers from destroying a computer that holds research on the Legacy Virus).
Other X-Men to join their cause were Wolverine, Nightcrawler and Rachel Summers, using her mother's former codename, Marvel Girl.
