Gerardus Pieter Baerends (March 30, 1916 - September 1, 1999) was a Dutch biologist and one of the most important representatives of the so-called classical ethology in the tradition of Nikolaas Tinbergen and Konrad Lorenz.
Dr. Robinson received his undergraduate degree from the University of Wales, in 1963, and his doctorate in zoology, in 1966, from Oxford University, where he studied under Nobel laureate Nikolaas Tinbergen.
