Nikolsk (also listed as Nikolsk South) is an airport in Russia located 5 km southeast of Nikolsk.
There are no railroads around Nikolsk and the closest railway stations with regular passenger service are Kotlas in Arkhangelsk Oblast and Sharya in Kostroma Oblast.
After graduation in 1955 from Mendeleev Russian University of Chemistry and Technology, where he got the qualification of engineer with specialized training in the technology of silicates, he worked at an optical glass factory in Nikolsk.
