Clear Blue in Stormy Skies was recorded in February 2006 with members of her backing band, Steve Balbi (Noiseworks, Electric Hippies) who co-produced; Paul Searles (Skunkhour) and Josh Quong Tart.
Aside from the famous cover by Ike & Tina Turner, Australian rock band Noiseworks recorded the song as 'Take You Higher' with Michael Hutchence of INXS in 1992, for the third Noiseworks album Love Versus Money, releasing their version as a single in Australia.
Edwards work as a backing singer includes working with: Noiseworks, Black Sorrows, Real Life, Ross Wilson, Billy Thorpe, Brian Cadd, John Farnham and Kate Ceberano; and she was one of the backing vocalists on Kylie Minogue's Enjoy Yourself Tour in 1990.
