Manlius Boethius

Although Nonius is a common name under the early Empire, Alan Cameron has pointed out the combination "Nonius Arrius" has been attested only twice in the 300 years prior to Boethius.

It was here that the Nonius, later on the Gidan, the Furioso and the North Star types of horses and the Mezőhegyes English full bood were bred.


Lucius Coelius Antipater

His fragments, several of which are preserved in Nonius, are to be found appended to the editions of Sallust by Joseph Wasse, Corte, and Havercamp; and also in Krause's Vitae et Fragmenta vet.
