Opheim studied at Bergen Musikkonservatorium (1987–90) and Norges Musikkhøgskole (1990–92), and has worked since 1992 for the Ole Bull Akademiet in Voss, as well as engagements at NTNU and Norges Musikkhøgskole.
Rud joined the fri jazz band Svein Finnerud Trio (1967–74), was educated at the Norges Musikkhøgskole (1968), was percussionist within Pompel og Pilt (1969), was part of Min bul (1970) in trio with Terje Rypdal and Bjørnar Andresen, and contributed on the Karin Krog album Some other spring (1970), where also Dexter Gordon and Kenny Drew contributed.
Hoff is a graduate of the Teachers' College in Bodø and Bergen, and was further educated on the Jazz program at Trondhein musikkonservatorium under Terje Bjørklund (1986–89), and in Composisjon at Norges Musikkhøgskole (2001).
He studied at the State Academy of music (Norges musikkhøgskole) (Lasse Thoresen, composition; Olav Anton Thommessen, orchestration; Bjørn Kruse, arranging; Mads Claesson, Arild Erikstad og Tore Simonsen, music technology; Otto Berg, viola), and at Hochschule (now Universität) der Künste Berlin (Witold Szalonek, composition).
The Norwegian Academy of Music (Norwegian: Norges musikkhøgskole, NMH) is a music conservatory located in Oslo, Norway, in the neighbourhood of Majorstuen, Frogner.
She holds a Master's degree in cabaret singing at Norges Musikkhøgskole with particular emphasis on Hanns Eisler, Kurt Weill and American cabaret.
