Catterick Crusaders

The club attracted players from Northallerton, Ripon, Leyburn, Thirsk and Harrogate the initial vision of a Hambleton club started to materialize.

Garsdale railway station

It is the long term aim of the Wensleydale Railway to extend their rails along the former route from Redmire to connect with services here, allowing through journeys to Northallerton on the East Coast Main Line.

Gateshead TMD

The only remaining railway activity on the site is the line which connects the junctions leading to the bridges, and the Tyneside IECC which controls train movements on the East Coast Main Line between north of Northallerton and south of Morpeth.

Leeds-Northallerton Railway

The section between Leeds and Harrogate is still extant, though it now follows a former branch line to York instead of continuing through Ripon to Northallerton.

Ripley Castle

Sir John Ingleby (1434-1499) inherited the estate from his father at the age of five and built the castle gatehouse, before becoming a monk at Mount Grace Priory, near Northallerton and later the Bishop of Llandaff.
