He contributed to the encyclopedia Norsk krigsleksikon 1940-45, where he wrote articles related to the Norwegian merchant fleet, Nortraship and naval ships.
Though the most significant contribution of the Allied war effort was through the merchant marine fleet known as Nortraship, a number of Norwegian military forces were established and became part of Utefronten.
While the new collaborationist government in Norway issued its own stamps, the government-in-exile, based in London, issued stamps for the use of the Royal Norwegian Navy and the merchant marine.
