Premier of Nova Scotia

Following the Westminster system, the premier is normally the leader of the political party which has the most seats in the Nova Scotia House of Assembly who is called upon by the Lieutenant Governor to form a government.

Sable Island horse

Earl Wallace Urquhart

Born in West Bay, Nova Scotia, he was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly for Richmond in an 1949 by-election held after Lauchlin Daniel Currie was named to the bench.

Isaac LeVesconte

LeVesconte was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in 1863 for Richmond County and served as financial secretary from 1863 to 1864.

James Monk
