In December 2011, Etchells returned to the Seven Network and replaced his girlfriend Nuala Hafner as Melbourne Correspondent on Sunrise as Hafner returned to University to complete her Psychology degree.
However, she is best known for working as a weather presenter for Seven News in Adelaide, and later in Sydney.
