On 18 December 2007, Nugzar met with Kristiina Ojuland, the Vice-President of the Riigikogu (Parliament of Estonia) at the Mariott-Tbilisi Hotel in which Ojuland "paid homage to the Bagrationi dynasty, which has made an extraordinary contribution in support of Georgia".

Gruzinsky gained popularity as an author of lyrics for the songs by Revaz Lagidze, Giorgi Tsabadze, and Giya Kancheli, including for Lagidze'sTbiliso, one of the best known Georgian songs, and for the cult Soviet comedy Mimino (1977).
He was the last direct male descendant of King Vakhtang VI of Kartli and the last in the Gruzinsky line.
Another 'underground' theater he found in the factory owned by Prince Yakov Gruzinsky (whose side-son Ivan Nikulin, an actor and a husband of Lyubov Kositskaya) in Pavlovsky Posad.
