Spanish ironclad Numancia, the first ironclad warship to circumnavigate the Earth
It is named after the Spanish ironclad Numancia, which happened to pass by from Manila on its quest to sail around the world.
Several Spanish Navy ships have been named Numancia and a Sorian battalion was named batallón de numantinos.
