Osric, the nephew of Edwin, ruled Deira after Edwin, but his son Oswine was put to death by Oswiu in 651.
Osric was king of Northumbria from the death of Coenred in 718 until his death on 9 May 729.
Although Osric, one of Edwin's successors, was converted to Christianity by Paulinus, he returned to paganism after Edwin's death.
