25 August - Treaty of Hué signed between Nguyễn Dynasty Emperor of Viet Nam and the French Empire, recognizing French imperial control over the regions of Annam and Tonkin.
Dasia olivacea is found south of approximately 15° north in Southeast Asia, including parts of Myanmar, Thailand, Viet Nam, Laos, Malaysia and Singapore as well as throughout the island of Borneo, on Java, Sumatra and nearby Indonesian islands, and the Indian Andaman and Nicobar Islands.
The first two were decommissioned in 1959 and 1961, respectively, but Newport News remained in commission until 1975, serving for a long period (1962-1968 as Second Fleet flagship, and then providing gunfire support off Viet Nam 1969-1973.
Born in Da Lat, Vietnam in 1938, Gilles Larrain, the great great grand son of Paul Blanchy, first mayor of Saigon from 1895 to 1901, and the first producer of pepper in Viet Nam, started in education at the Lycée Français de New York from 1954 to 1957, before who went through the École Nationale des Beaux-Arts (architecture), in Paris from 1960 to 1965, and one of the pioneers in kinetic art in the 1960s, using air, smoke, light, water and neon tubes.
The largemouth triplefin, Ucla xenogrammus, is a fish of the family Tripterygiidae and only member of the genus Ucla, found in the Pacific Ocean from Viet Nam, the Philippines, Palau and the Caroline Islands to Papua New Guinea, Australia (including Christmas Island), and the Solomon Islands, Fiji, Tonga, east to American Samoa and Rapa, at depths of between 2 and 41 m.
As of 2005, his practice and offices are located in Ocean View, Delaware in the United States.
The speckled catshark, Halaelurus boesemani, is a cat shark of the family Scyliorhinidae, found in the Gulf of Aden and off Somalia, also known around Viet Nam, the Philippines, Indonesia, and Western Australia, between latitudes 21° N and 26° S, at depths of between 40 and 250 m.
Two of the bottles were found in the US, one on March 3 in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, New York, and one in Ocean View, Virginia on March 30.
A few miles south of the bridge-tunnel, in Norfolk, US 60 diverges to the east to follow the south shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay through Ocean View and past the south entrance to the Chesapeake Bay Bridge-Tunnel to reach Cape Henry.
