They collaborated on the commissioned work Hysj by Lars Martin Myhre for «Vestfoldspillene» 1997, with a record released 1997, as well as on Vintersang (1998) by Odd Børretzen, and received Norsk Kulturråd's ensemble support 1997-99.
When Odd was three years old, his family moved to Grorud in Oslo; his childhood is related in the self-biographic Min barndoms verden (My Childhood World, 1997; filmed as Da jeg traff Jesus … med sprettert, 2000).

Kamfjord was awarded the «Urijazz» in Tønsberg 1987, has been engaged as jamkomp at Jazz festivals both in Kongsberg and Molde, has participated in Susanne Fuhr's Billie Holiday Performance 1990-91, and has since 1992 been a member of the local groups «D.E.E. Quartet» (Dag Einar Eilertsen) and «Kjernefamilien», besides collaboration with Odd Børretzen and Lars Martin Myhre, including the album «Noen ganger er det all right» (1995), and at Moldejazz in 1996.
In recent years, he has been active on both jazz venues and as a freelance musician at both theater on Den Nationale Scene in Bergen, and with artists like Odd Børretzen, Jan Eggum, Herborg Kråkevik, Nathalie Nordnes, Christina Bjordal, Christine Sandtorv, and Helene Bøksle.
