The aircraft was lost on its second flight in a crash at Ottendorf-Okrilla on 4 March 1959, killing the entire crew.
On the edge of the mighty Okrilla Basin Sands (Okrillaer Beckensande) it swings west and discharges into the Große Röder in Cunnersdorf (a village in the borough of Ottendorf-Okrilla).
