In November 2007 Axel Klopprogge started the sports TV-format "I Never Give Up" together with partner and ex-national goalkeeper Oliver Kahn.
The name of the famous German goalkeeper Oliver Kahn had to be removed and was replaced with the name Jens Mustermann (Mustermann translates from German into English as Sample Man and is the German equivalent of John Doe or Joe Bloggs - see Placeholder name).
However, during a UEFA Champions League clash against FC Bayern Munich, he collided with opposing goalkeeper Oliver Kahn, which resulted in a serious knee injury – in the same competition, he previously helped his club crush PSV Eindhoven 4–1 at home by scoring twice, whilst in the league, he put four past former Ranger Andy Goram's Motherwell.
Noticeable cases are for example Dutch players (e.g. Von Mistelroum instead of Van Nistelrooy) and German players (e.g. Kalm instead of Kahn).
His performance in this match earned him praise from former German international goalkeeper, Oliver Kahn.
