She started her acting career in 1945, and is probably best known for her role as Valborg Jensen in the Olsenbanden movies, as Marve Fleksnes' mother on the long-running Norwegian television comedy Fleksnes Fataliteter and as the janitor's wife in the comedy film Skulle det dukke opp flere lik, er det bare å ringe (based on the play BusyBody by Jack Popplewell).
The reason for this is that the movie is a remake of a Danish film about Olsenbanden, and the tower of Copenhagen City Hall does indeed have a clock.
Parts of the Olsenbanden-movie Olsenbanden tar gull from 1973 was filmed in Sande, and another part in Stavern.
He is probably best known for playing "Benny" in the Olsenbanden-movies (1969–1998), and as station master O. Tidemann the Norwegian children's program Sesam Stasjon (1990–1998), the Norwegian version of the US program, Sesame Street.
Throughout the years she would appear in classic Norwegian films such as Støv på hjernen, (1959), its sequels Sønner av Norge and Sønner av Norge kjøper bil, and other popular titles like Olsenbanden for full musikk (1976) and Kamilla og tyven (1988).
