After Airich became the vacant IBF Inter-Continental heavyweight titleholder by knocking out German fighter Varol Vekiloglu in round 1, on March 9, 2012 he faced Ondrej Pala for the second time to retain his IBF Inter-Continental heavyweight title and for Pala’s WBO European heavyweight title.
