Rouge River is to the northeast and Buttonville Airport is directly west of the community Highway 404 is to the west with four interchanges and the nearest interchange with the Highway 407 Express Toll Route (ETR) is 2 km south on Woodbine Avenue.
As Minister of Finance, Eves also oversaw two controversial privatization initiatives: the long-term lease of the Bruce nuclear generating station to British Energy and the 99-year lease of Highway 407 to a consortium of mainly foreign investors.
It is primarily served by GO Transit buses running along the Lakeshore East and Highway 407/York University corridors, with longer distance connections outside the Greater Toronto Area by Greyhound, Coach Canada, Megabus and Can-ar, and additional casino services.
