Live recordings at the Lark and other upstate New York venues such as Opus 40 have been released by Croscrane Records.

Opus 40

The band Mercury Rev recorded "Opus 40", a song about the site, on their 1998 album Deserter's Songs.

A Sonny Rollins concert at Opus 40 on August 16, 1986 was filmed for Robert Mugge's documentary "Saxophone Colossus".

Brendan Gill, in the March, 1989 edition of Architectural Digest, called Opus 40 "one of the largest and most beguiling works of art on the entire continent," and he has also called it “the greatest earthwork sculpture I have ever seen.”
