In 2013, Crosthwaite was chosen to represent Mexico in the California-Pacific Triennial curated by Dan Cameron at the Orange County Museum of Art.
In 2007 she dedicated the Orange County Museum of Art in Newport Beach (CA), a comprehensive exhibition, which followed the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston in Houston, Texas, at the Wexner Center for the Arts in Columbus (OH), and 2008 at the New Museum of Contemporary Art in New York was to be seen.
She was co-founder and curator of Griffin Linton Contemporary Exhibitions in Venice Beach and Costa Mesa, California, and has also worked at The New Museum of Contemporary Art, Laguna Art Museum, Newport Harbor Art Museum (now Orange County Museum of Art), and The Severin Wunderman Museum.
The Orange County Museum of Art has organized exhibitions of contemporary art, including the first surveys of Vija Celmins (1980), Chris Burden (1988), and Tony Cragg (1990), as well as major exhibitions of work by Lari Pittman (1983), Gunther Forg (1989), Charles Ray (1990), Guillermo Kuitca (1992), Bill Viola (1997), Inigo Manglano-Ovalle (2003), Catherine Opie (2006), Mary Heilmann (2007), and Jack Goldstein (2012).

The museum has co-organized exhibitions with the Renaissance Society, the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts, and the Grey Art Gallery, and its exhibitions have traveled to more than 20 museums in the United States and elsewhere.
Her work has also been showcased in group exhibitions at Jack Hanley Gallery (S.F.), the Orange County Museum of Art and LACMA, among others.
