The Sigvardt collection includes components of Rasmus Sigvardt from nearby Orehoved who was a manufacturer of motors and motorized field and orchard sprayers.
The 3,199 meter long Storstrøm Bridge connects the former municipality from near the town of Orehoved to Masnedø, an island in Storstrømmen, and the 201 meter long Masnedsund Bridge (Masnedsundbroen) continues from there to the town of Vordingborg.
In 1936, Sigvardt organized the Brohallen bridge exhibition in Orehoved in connection with the building of the Storstrøm Bridge.
