Alexander Ostrowski, a German - Swiss mathematician, born in a Jewish family from Ukraine
In 1934 Ostrowski left for Gdynia where together with his brother Zygmunt he painted signs and names of ships (among others SS Kościuszko and MS Batory).
It was first ascended in 1934 by Adam Karpiński and Wiktor Ostrowski, members of a Polish andinist expedition led by Konstanty Jodko-Narkiewicz.
Ostrowski was a regular member of the French national team.
