Otford

The village is located on the River Darent, flowing north down its valley from its source on the North Downs.

The village is a key stopping-off point on the North Downs Way which runs through the village as it crosses the Darent Valley, intersecting the Darent Valley Path.

Otford, New South Wales

A timber mill at Karingal, Lilyvale, in the north of the Otford valley was established by Thomas James and his three brothers in 1875.

Otford has few remaining services but retains a public primary school, railway station on the CityRail South Coast Line, a volunteer Rural Fire Brigade and a pie shop that also serves as tax agent.
