Licheń Stary is the site of Poland's largest church, Sanctuary of Our Lady of Licheń, completed in 2004, which houses icon of the Virgin Mary called Our Lady of Sorrows, Queen of Poland.

The community’s appearance features the Catholic Kuratienkirche zu den Sieben Schmerzen Mariens (Church of Our Lady of the Seven Sorrows).
Therese proposed that Mary, the Mother of Sorrows, be their model and built a small African style chapel dedicated to her at the Mother House in Save, a small rural village where the first Catholic Church in Rwanda was built.
The images venerated are: Our Lady of Mercy (main altar), Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Our Lady of the Rosary, Our Lady of Sorrows, Christ, Saint Anthony, Saint Francis of Paola, and Saint Eligius (patron saint of the metalworkers, who donated the image).
Louise Marie de La Grange d'Arquien (28 June 1638 – 11 November 1728) was a French noblewoman, the elder sister of Marie Casimire Louise de La Grange d'Arquien, Queen of Poland.
Kłossowski is then said to have looked for and found the image in the woods in Grąblin as instructed.
The church is especially known for its statue of the Mother of Sorrows, sculpted by one of the renowned procession-sculptors of Seville, Miguel Bejarano Moreno.
