The TV program Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser was produced by Maryland Public Television at its studios in Owings Mills; many viewers became familiar with the town as the mailing address of the program.

In addition to its main campus located in Towson, GBMC’s care can be found in several facilities located throughout the community including Hereford, Hunt Manor, Hunt Valley and Owings Mills.
In 1970 he started the popular Public Broadcasting Service (PBS) series, Wall $treet Week with Louis Rukeyser, produced by Maryland Public Television (MPT), a PBS member station, out of their facilities in Owings Mills, Maryland.
Owings Mills Boulevard was temporarily co-named Ravens Boulevard in the weeks surrounding Super Bowl XXXV in 2001 to honor the Baltimore Ravens, whose training complex was located at the site of what is now the Owings Mills campus of Stevenson University near Gwynnbrook Avenue.
