Armançon

The Lower Cretaceous is comparable with the rocks of the Weald of southern England and the Upper Jurassic with the Oxford Clay and associated strata of the English Midlands.

Callovosaurus

This specimen was collected from the middle Callovian–age (Middle Jurassic) Peterborough Member (former Lower Oxford Clay) of the Oxford Clay Formation of Fletton, near Peterborough in Cambridgeshire, England.

Christian Malford

The village is known to palaeontologists as a rediscovered Lagerstätte, a site of remarkably preserved fossils, in this case in the Middle Jurassic Oxford clay, in which a chance discovery in the 19th century uncovered thousands of exquisitely preserved ammonites, fish and crustaceans.
