Éric Dubus (born 28 February 1966 in Pézenas, Hérault) is a former French middle distance runner, who became European Indoor Champion over 3.000m in 1990, and was the silver medalist over 3.000m at the 1993 IAAF World Indoor Championships.
The theatre in Pézenas is called Illustre Théâtre, in homage to Molière who crossed the Languedoc between 1647 and 1657, and stayed in Pézenas in 1650-1651, during the Estates of Languedoc.
At the age of eighteen he joined the French Oratory and taught for a time in the colleges of his congregation at Pézenas, and Montbrison and at the Seminary of Vienne.
