For the final 3 races of the season, Domínguez secured sponsorship from Mexican state-owned petroleum company Pemex to race for the slightly more competitive Rocketsports team.
In March 1986, she was convicted by a court in New York City of failing her fiduciary duties in brokering a deal between Pemex, Mexico's national oil company, and the Nissho-Iwai American Corporation.

In December 1978, Petroleos Mexicanos, "Pemex", Mexico's national oil company, accepted her bid to supply some 93,000 meters of steel oil field pipe, and in March 1979 forwarded Frankenburg-Kansas a purchase order requesting various types and quantities of pipe for which Pemex was willing to pay approximately $5.2 million.
With a total deadweight capacity of over 4 million tonnes, the vessels enter into long-term charters with strong counterparties around the world, such as BP Shipping, COSCO (China), Hyundai Merchant Marine (S.Korea), Maersk Line, Royal Dutch Shell, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Total (France), Repsol, Statoil (Norway), Pemex (Mexico), Petrobras (Brazil), Cepsa (Spain).
After this, he became Secretary of Energy in the Cabinet of President Ernesto Zedillo where he was also President of the Board of several governmental companies such as PEMEX, CFE and LyFC.
The most important of these are the Francisco Pérez Ríos Thermoelectric plant and the PEMEX refinery as well as the Cruz Azul and Tolteca cement locations.
The group has visited several municipalities, at the opening concert for the Rock for Peace Festival, as well as at bars and private parties in Albuquerque and El Paso, Texas, the anniversary of Burger King in Phoenix, also appearing at the Hard Rock Cafe in Guadalajara, as well as the Pemex Pyramid Ska Festival (sharing the stage with minimum wage and Panteón Rococó) in Mexico City).
