PFLAG National provided guidance and support to Degrassi High when the show introduced its first transgender character in 2010.
The PrideHouseTO Leadership Team includes organizations such as Ryerson University, Egale Canada, the Gay and Lesbian International Sport Association and Toronto PFLAG.

Canadians for Equal Marriage is a Canadian public interest group representing Egale Canada, PFLAG Canada, the Canadian Federation of Students, the Canadian Labour Congress, the Canadian Psychological Association, the Canadian Association of University Teachers, and the Canadian Association of Social Workers, among others to promote the legalisation of same-sex marriage in Canada.
Speakers and artists who spoke at the main rally included Harry Britt, Charlotte Bunch, Allen Ginsberg and Peter Orlovsky, Flo Kennedy, Morris Kight, Audre Lorde, Leonard Matlovich, Kate Millett, Troy Perry, Eleanor Smeal, First PFLAG President Adele Starr, and Congressman Ted Weiss.
It was begun separately and without knowledge of the American PFLAG which performs the same functions in the United States.
He has also hosted shows for numerous benefits, including Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, The Point Foundation, PFLAG, and The Matthew Shepard Foundation.
