After a period of inactivity, in 2005 a new incarnation of Golden Smog formed and recorded the Another Fine Day album in the village of El Puerto de Santa María, Spain, produced by Paco Loco.
The album was originally going to be produced by John Agnello but the band ended up opting for their previous producer Paco Loco.
On March 10, 2011, it was announced that in April, Alon would be enetering Paco Loco Studios in Cadiz, Spain, with producer Thom Monahan with whom he worked on his 2009 album Get Closer, to record his fourth studio album.
Recorded with Paco Loco (Golden Smog, The Sadies, Josh Rouse) in El Puerto de Santa Maria, Spain, the record met with significant acclaim from Q magazine, Mojo, Uncut, Classic Rock and The Word.
